We reach the end: Weekend Oct 27, 28 & 29 GLOW-POTLUCK-GRAVEL!

Well... it's been a blast Amici but we are down to final days. Tiny tear here....

This weekend we will wrap up with some fun:

  • Friday night, join us downtown St. Catharines for a "Glow Ride" (9k and LIT UP).  See calendar for details
  • Saturday Rides will start at 9 am and return to the park at noon (A, B, C and Rec)
  • Post Saturday Rides, Join us in Firemen's park on the pad beside the kitchen OR inside if chilly for a POTLUCK. Bring a dish to share.
  • On Sunday we may have our regular B & Social Rides (looking for leaders) and we will have a special Hamilton to Brantford "Rail Trail" Gravel revisit with Paul W. 

Check out the calendar.. and even once the season ends continue to do so, as we may throw up the occasional fun event!

Amici Year End: Nov. 11 - Save the Date & Nominate for "the Spirit of Amici" Award

SAVE THE DATE!  It's banquet time.   

When:  Saturday, Nov 11

Time:  5pm - 10pm

Details:  TBC

Expect good fun, great food and some awards.   Tickets will be sold in advance to member and non-member "others". 

Our special SPIRIT of AMICI Award will be presented.  This award is peer nominated, so get your vote in to Gord @ nbt@cogeco.net

In Gord's own words:

Our club is about experiencing cycling together, but more importantly it's about helping and sharing with our fellow members. 

The Spirit of Amici Award is to honour the member that best represents this and can be earned by anyone in our club.It's not about the fastest, most rides attended or most kilometers ridden!

It's awarded to the person who most exemplifies the true meaning of "Friends for life".  The person who is an example of the "Spirit of Amici"

When you feel that someone in our club has demonstrated a friendly gesture towards another member, their name should be forwarded for a nomination. At the end of the season we tally up the nominations and the Amici with the most will be honoured.

So please take the time to nominate your friends.  Each nomination must be accompanied with a brief explanation telling us what your favored person has done.

You can receive the Amici award more than once while you are a member. But you cannot receive it two years in a row,

Let's all continue to make Amici fun and great!
