Who will be our "Spirit of Amici for 2023"

Our club is about experiencing cycling together, but more importantly it's about helping and sharing with our fellow members.

The Spirit of Amici Award is to honour the member that best represents this and can be accomplished by anyone in our club.

It's not about the fastest, most rides attended or most kilometers ridden.

It's awarded to the person who most exemplifies the true meaning of "Friends for life", The person who is an example of the "Spirit of Amici"

When you feel that someone in our club has demonstrated a friendly gesture towards another member, their name should be forwarded for a nomination. At the end of the season we tally up the nominations and the Amici with the most will be honoured.

So please take the time to nominate your friends.  Each nomination must be accompanied with a brief explanation telling us what your favored person has done.

You can receive the Amici award more than once while you are a member. But you cannot receive it two years in a row,

All nominations must be sent to this email address,     nbt@cogeco.net

Let's all continue to make Amici fun and great!

Rides Start from the Gale Centre this Saturday Only!

Don't be left out and show up at the wrong place this Saturday morning for our Solstice Rides!

All rides start and end at the Gale Centre parking lot at 5152 Thorold Stone Road in Niagara Falls. Look for the signs that direct you to "Shoppers Parking" for the Community Garage Sale event taking place there all day Saturday! The Amici club will have a booth there selling slightly used bicycle merchandise to raise funds for Club initiatives, drop by and say hello to Rick & Bev before your ride, (they're missing their rides to take this on!).

After everyone gets back, some of us will gather at Counterpart Brewing just around the corner on Stanley Avenue to re-hydrate and replenish with some of their fine food offerings. Hope you can make it!

Attention! Coming this Weekend our Annual "Solstice Rides" Saturday June 22nd!

Summer is Coming!

Every year we celebrate our longest day with some of our longer rides of the season. Our routes will follow the "Greater Niagara Circle Route" riding beside the Niagara River, Lake Ontario, the Welland Canal and Lake Erie. We'll begin early this Saturday morning from a new one-time start location at the Gale Centre parking lot in Niagara Falls, 5152 Thorold Stone Road, (it's near the intersection of Thorold Stone Rd. and Stanley Ave. east off of the QEW at the Thorold Stone Rd. exit). There will be (3) ride distance options offered that will both challenge you and cater to your individual capabilities. Experienced and capable Rides Leaders will help you meet the challenge and complete your ride successfully with plenty of stops along the way to replenish your energy with the promise of no rider left behind!

Come out and rise to the challenge of circling the peninsula on your bikes along with your fellow "Amici"!
