As part of Amici per la Vita’s commitment to observing social distancing during this COVID-19 outbreak, which the World Health Organization (WHO) advises is critical to minimize the risk of transmission, we are modifying our schedule as follows. We will re-evaluate mid-April and communicate any possible resumption of normal activities at that time. If you attend any meet-up ride, this is at your own risk and we will not be posting any rides until further notice.
No group training events: Tech Clinic Mar. 14 Cancelled; First Aid Mar. 21 Cancelled
No Walk-in Registration: Mar 21 and 27 dates Cancelled
Suspended: Board meeting: Apr 20, Newcomers ride, Apr 25, AGM Apr 25
We will commence ON-LINE registration within the next few weeks. Further details to follow.
As a reminder please sure to take the following preventive measures as detailed by the WHO, which include:
- washing your hands frequently
- maintaining social distance;
- avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth;
- covering your mouth and nose when you sneeze and cough;
- seeking medical care early if you have a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing; and,
- as for the personal use of masks, following these guidelines from the CDC.
Most of all, if you have symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, tiredness, cough, and shortness of breath, among others), please consult with your physician and stay home. If you are returning from travel in affected areas, please self-isolate for 14-days before joining any group rides. Avoiding contact with those exhibiting symptoms is an essential element of maintaining health. If you are concerned about your health contact this number: Niagara Region coronavirus hotline: 905-688-8248 ext. 7019
Let's keep Amici's healthy so we can all get on the bike come May!
