Come back to school with our own Gord Singleton as he passes on his experience on the bike to both newbies and veterans alike! We can all learn something new which can help each of us to more fully enjoy the experience of riding our bicycles together. Some of the topics that will be covered include: group riding, safety, pedaling technique, cadence, climbing, shifting gears, and a question and answer period to conclude the session. The event will take place on Saturday August 20th from 12:30 to 2:00 pm on the covered patio at the back of the Regency Hotel, after everyone's morning rides. It is a rain or shine event and won't require you to bring your own bike. Gord will have some handouts for participants to take away with them as well as a surprise appearance from this year's Tour de France winner Chris Froome! Really! Well maybe his autographed yellow jersey, come and find out!
Come join us for an evening of cycling, food, refreshments and music this Thursday night. We'll be meeting in front of the Town Hall at 6:00 pm in Pelham Square for a leisurely ride to be followed by the festivities in the Square. The event is usually well-attended so come early to get a good parking spot. Bring a bike lock and a good appetite!
