A Message to Current & Prospective Amici Per La Vita Niagara Cycling Club Members

Since our founding in 2013, our Club has been built on a simple idea; a group of friends who loved cycling together wanting to share that passion with others.

Our small beginnings have grown into a welcoming community brought together by the joy of riding, supporting one another and embracing the spirit of friendship while riding our bicycles.

Our Club; “Amici Per La Vita”, reflects exactly who we are, “Friends for Life”. It’s not just about cycling; it’s about the connections we build, the friendships wecreate, and the community we share both on and off the bike.

To our longtime members, thank you for keeping our original vision alive. Your camaraderie, encouragement, and committment continue to shape what this Club continues to be all about.

To those who are new, or thinking about joining us, welcome! Amici Per La Vita Niagara Cycling Club is about riding safely, improving fitness and well being, learning from others, and building lasting friendships within a supportive
community.

Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or just getting started, there’s a place for you here. We ride together, we grow together, and most importantly, we enjoy the journey together.

We look forward to seeing you on the road!
“Amici Per La Vita” - Friends for Life!

Ride Descriptions

We are a no drop cycling club

Choose from five different groups (A Group, B Group, C Group, Social Group, and Recreational Group) to ride with during the week.   NOTE:  the pace is not your average speed for the entire ride.  It is what you will see on your speed sensor as you are riding and will vary depending on the conditions and composition of the group.

The faster "A" Group will typically ride a minimum pace of 30+ km/h. The pace varies depending on terrain, weather conditions, time of year and the level of fitness of the riders present. There are also sections of each ride where the tradition is for faster riding and sprints. During these portions of club rides, the pace is often more than 30 km/h.  Check our calendar for A rides.... these are currently held Thursday and Sunday from Fonthill.

The "B" Group Ride will typically ride a minimum pace of 27-29 km/h. The pace varies depending on terrain, weather conditions, time of year and the level of fitness of the riders present. There are also sections of each ride where the tradition is for faster riding and sprints. Check our calendar for B rides.  There are morning, midweek, weeknight and weekend options.  This ride's policy is a no-drop one so the pace can vary quite a bit depending on who is riding.

The "C" Group Ride will typically ride a minimum pace of 24-26 km/h. The pace varies depending on terrain, weather conditions, time of year and the level of fitness of the riders present. Check our calendar for C rides.  There are morning, midweek, weeknight and weekend options.

On Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, there will be “S” rides. “Social” rides average 20-23 km/h. We may even stop for breakfast or ice-cream. Please check the calendar to confirm the ride times.

We offer Recreational rides for a more relaxed pace. They are similar in nature to the Social rides but emphasize group riding, instruction, safety and the rules of the road for bicyclists. (Distance: 25-30+ km).  Please check the calendar to confirm the ride times.

And offering so much more!   Gravel options throughout the month for beginner and advanced riders.
