Break at 49 km

On Sunday, September 21st I will be leading a Caledon Trailway gravel ride from Terra Cotta.  The ride follows county roads (gravel and paved) from Terra Cotta to Palgrave where it connects to the Caledon Trailway and follows the rail trail back to Terra Cotta.  The gravel/trail ride is 81 km, with two thirds hard packed gravel trail and the balance paved road.  Ideally, you should have a gravel road bike or a hybrid/mountain bike with a tire width of 30 – 35 mm.  Expect an average pace of 20 – 22 km/hr, plus or minus.  We will stop in Palgrave for a refreshmen

Light southwest wind so we'll head out to Wainfleet and back through Welland.  Coffee stop at Black Sheep Coffee Roasters in Welland.

Counter-clockwise loop from Firemen's to Ridgeway.  Coffee stop at Pie Guys in Ridgeway (approx. 45 km)

Clockwise loop down to Niagar-on-the-Lake.  Coffee stop at Balzacs in Niagara-on-the-Lake.  Start time at 8:30.
