July 10, 2018 C Group

Coffee stop in Jordan via Mountain, Taylor, Gendale, .....Beaverdams, Decew, First St Louth, Pelham, Nineth St, King St to Main St Jordan.

After enjoying a favorite break at de la terre Bakery we will head back via Fourth Ave, Jordan Rd, North Service Rd to Port Dalhousie, Lakeshore, East & West Line & south on the Parkway to Portage, Stanley & Mountain.

Probably 3.5 hr cycling,

Hopefully winds remain true & we will have a bit of wind at our back on the return..............bill

Sunday, July 8, B ride

Meander through the vineyards of St. Davids.  Mostly flat with Queenston climb at the end. Take the path if you like, regroup at the top.  Please don't drop your ride leader! Coffee stop at Balzac's in PD (I checked out Homestead - not impressed). Note new 4-way stop at Line 3 & 4-Mile Creek. Should be a nice day, see u there.

July 03, 2018 C-Group

East to Parkway via Wirlpool Rd, down Queenston Hill & west on York. Veer right onto Queenston Rd, short ride on Hwy 55 to Stewart Rd, Lakeshore, Lakeport Rd to Port Dalhouse with stop at Balzac's (roughly half way).

West on Main/Lakeshore to Third, south around Shorthills to Roland Rd/Holland Rd, along Seburn Rd, Merritville Hwy to Beaverdams Rd, through Thorold Tunnel & onto Taylor Rd & Mountain Rd.

June 26, 2018 - C Group

East to Prkway via Whirlpool Rd (can add an additional 5 Km going north of reservoir) & south on Parkway to Netherby Rd. South on Stevensville Rd to Timmies.

Continue south & west on Main St, south on Ott & west on Church. North on Point Albino Rd & west on Netherby. North on Montrose Rd & west on Chippiwa Creek. North on Heartland Forest Rd & west on Brown Rd. North on Garner to Mountain Rd.

June 19, 2018 - C Ride

East to the Parkway via Whirlpool Rd. North on Parkway to East & West Line. West along E&W/Lakeshore/Lakeport to Balzac's in Port Dalhousie.

West on Main & south on 3rd St to St Paul West, Vansickle Rd, Mac Turnbull Dr, Pelham Rd & Glendale to Taylor Rd, Mountain Rd & return to Firemen's Park.

Should be back by 11.

Weather looks good, rain should be gone & everything dried up, wind out of the NE 18-20 kph. 

June 16, 2018 - B Group Ride to Crystal Beach

I personally reconn'd this route by car.  It is mostly flat, except at the end.  Also mostly smooth straight pavement with paved shoulder.

Exercise caution (ride single & stay right) in sections without shoulder.  Coffee break at Tim's in Crystal Beach.

June 12, 2018 - C Group

Winds are forescasted from the south so we are heading into the winds to start out. Hopefully wind direction does not change!!

West on Mountain Rd & then south onto Garner until Chippawa Creek. South onto Moyer & then east onto Netherby. Short south on Stevensville Rd to Timmies & then back to east on Netherby & north on the Parkway. Follow the Parkway until Whirpool Rd with short stretches on Stanley & Portage & then back on Mountin to return to Firemen's Park.

 

June 5, 2018 - C

West on Mountain & Taylor/Thorald Townline south to Chippiwa Creek west. Continue on Moyer/Doan's Ridge south. Veer right onto Miller Rd to Forkes Rd/Fox Rd east into Stevensville for a stop at Timmies on Stevensville Rd (across from Safari Niagara).

 

Return: north to  Sodom Rd, east on Baker Rd/Black Creek Rd to the Parkway. North & east on Legends Way to Willoughby Dr/Portage Rd. West on Marineland Parkway to Dorchester & back to Firemen's Park.

 

May 29, 2018 - C Group

Mountain Rd west to Taylor RD. N to Homer Bridge, short stretch of Hwy 55 & then onto Stewart Rd. Carlton west to Read Rd & then to Lakeshore east. Zig/zag between Lakeshore & Scott St to build additional distance (if shorter distance is desired stay on Larkeshore & take East & West line (regroup at E&W Line & Townline Rd). Follow E&W line to Peller Estates & thru to John St. Right on John, across Parkway, onto Ricardo to King St. Left to Balzac's for a short break.

Saturday C-ride

Mostly flat route. One climb.  Take at your own pace and regroup at top.  Coffee stop at Balzac's in NOTL
